Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist izreal.

How did you decide to become an artist?

izreal: when I realized how powerful rappers voice could be I was instantly drawn to that. Not to mention the perks that come along with being a well-known rapper. I also liked the freedom that it allowed me to have as artists whatever you write is your truth and no one can criticize that in that moment did you create a song or beat.

the best advice that was given to me was from tech n9ne. He told me if a market for your music doesn’t exist create your own

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I’m a firm believer in quantity not quality. So I don’t do many shows but when I do you can believe they’re always going to a great quality show and a great experience for my audience.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

dick riders and lames/ get treated the same /for acting cavalier/ I bring the heat like James/ I go by IZ/ you just what’s his name/ I heard your last mixtape f****** lame!

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on a new project this untitled now but should be out mid next year is going to be huge a lot of surprises on that album maybe even a famous guest appearance or so. Are released three albums this will be my 4th solo project and I feel my best today although my other projects or crazy hot steel and haven’t gotten the just duet they deserves

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

if the right situation came along you’d be a fool not to take it. Having a machine behind you is always great for the most part. One of my partners out west got signed to a major label only to be on the shelf for a couple years before getting cut and never really reaching his potential and he swears by independent companies now so I guess I’m 50 50. when it comes to that I’m on my Jerry Maguire show me the money

Any last words?

I want to send a shout out to Wichita Kansas, St Louis Missouri, San Diego California, Atlanta Georgia, Los Angeles, in New York City. These are the cities in general where I do a lot of business is it or where I have a lot of family yet so shout out to all those people there who support me.

Where can we contact you?
