Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Titan.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Titan: I started writing poetry in 6th grade and living in a low income family I learned that I had a lot to talk about. I grew up listening to everything from Master P, Lil Wayne, C Murder, even ICP and stuff like that. From there I started writing hip hop and liked the fact that it was poetry in motion! The artist aspect comes into play when I started recording my music and people were vibin to me. So I guess you can say I became an artist because I like the fact my music can make people from different backgrounds come together and vibe out.
Invest in yourself and network with the right people
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Ive been performing at shows for a few years. My team has put together a couple local showcases to help other artist network. I love when all eyes are on me while on stage
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Im sick n tired of these sour cats kill em with bars, leaving their bodies in the sour patch
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Currently Im working on a collab album with my brother and right hand Kaashif Iman. The album is called S.W.E.D.A.N. and stands for Smoke Weed Every Day And Night. This is stoner/trap music at its finest for sure. I also am in the works of releasing another mixtape called ”Titans World” wich is also trap music but I think alot of people will relate to what Im talking about
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would if the money and promotion side of the contract was right. They would have to take my company as a whole though. We grind together we climb together ya feel me
