Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Pharaoh Hussein.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Pharaoh Hussein: I Decided to become an artist because I felt a certain way about where were heading as a culture. These days people worrying about the appearance more than what the message is, I became an artist to shed light where the darkness reigns.
Do what you feel now what the everyone else wants.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
yes i perform live on occasions.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
my words fishscale off the boat undisclosed location chilling amongst the greatest wordplay persuasive i know my enemies hate this the come up rose threw the pavement
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
debut mixtape the miseducation of pharaoh hussein i mixed also so i work with other artists under our recording label dark society network.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
maybe some pros about signing to a major is the distribution, the press runs, and somebody believing in your vision. the cons are giving up creative control that’s the most important thing to because to me i think all music come out great when it’s felt created with a sense of vivid imagery and now in days labels want you to make only one type of music when in fact music is universal.
