Featured artist: Nightmare - My Inner Self
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Nightmare.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Nightmare: I used to always go through a lot while I was younger. I decided after getting in so much trouble during my childhood and going through lots of life changes, to pursue music so I can have a better way of using my emotions.
The best advice that i’ve personally been given was to find myself.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I’ve did shows in the past but not recently. The honest way to explain this was running into minor financial problems but in time i’ll be playing live again.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Everybody say they ballin, half of them below the rim Newflash fam, your money short like tiny tim.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on my third mixtape entitled ”Surrender Now”, meaning out with the old Fred(my real name) and in with the new lyrical ”Nightmare” that everyone wants to see again.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record deal. Yes I would. I would have to closely examinemy decisions though because i’m not the type to just sign myself over.
Any last words?
I’ve got to shoutout my dad for putting up with me for so many years and being there through the good and the bad and the ugly. I got to shoutout my stepmom for stepping in and taking care of me for so long. I want to shoutout my mother In Chicago, Illinois doing her thing with her nursing job and shoutout to my friends and family that never gave up on my talent and me as a person.
