Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Sky Skraper.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Sky Skraper: When I was about 9 I start writing poetry. From there I progressed my writing and I think I naturally evolved into a Lyricist. My brother was really the first person that opened my eyes to hip hop. I am from Cleveland so for me when I first heard Est. 1999 it was a rap from that moment on.

I live in Fort Lauderdale. And yes I do shows all round Miami currently I am setting up for a show that I will be giving on November 1st the 1st annual Thriller Jam located @ 1901 Harrison st. Hollywood FL.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

A beast so I beat my Chest like King Kong/ And I’ll Take your soul like Shang Gung/ My rhymes are fabulous they aim straight for the lung/ Consider me a killer bee and you’ve just been stung.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently Finishing up my album which is called A.I. (All In). I just worked on a mix tape that is available now for free on my reverberation website.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign a deal but there is a time and place for everything. Just because there is an offer does mean its your best option.

Any last words?

Love to give a shout out to my family because they have always been by my side. Opmuzik, JT Lockheart, Smoke Screen, Battlefunk, Drew Reyn, DJ Zimm, AJ Black, DJ Skip, and everyone else I have worked with along the way.
