How did you decide to become an artist?
DC CALIFIED: I started rapping around when murder was the case snoop dogg came out.I was from a party crew called ”Hellbound” we would go to partys and smoke weed, drink and have freestyles in front of my crib.flowing to ”whoridas-shot calling and big balling”, ”outkast-elevaters”,”mc ren-keep the shit real”and more.I would always write raps in class.I till this day dream ideas for songs, Always been into music, even when my pops was knocking isley brothers, ojays, I always appreciate musoc of all sources.real talk!
keep at yo grind in anything you do and your goal will come to play.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I do venues I have played-Whisky a gogo, DragonFly.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
We grinders, one of a kindas, be about my papers, you know where to find us!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Currently Woking on my album ”Work & Progress The Album” and The Uppers Class Mixtape”.Have 2 Mixtapes that are already out ”The West Coast METHology Mixtape,”The Glass Slippers Mixtape”also are on a lot of compilations go to www.dccalified.com and check all projects out.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If its to my advantage, Would much rather do my own thang with a major distribution deal!
