Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist jay wood.

How did you decide to become an artist?

jay wood: Well besides the fact of me loving to write music..many have told me if I keep pushing foward I could have a name in the game. Mainly because of the sound I provide over a instrumental. Ive been rapping since 16 but I chose to take it a little more seriously since then. In my earlier years me and the homies would stand outside for hours getting throwed n freestyling before we’d hit the studio later that nite. There we’d all sit n write to instrumentals we heard off the radio. After while we got sum jack leg equipment n started to recording at my house. We kouldnt b to loud considering the fact my mom was in the room next to mine. We eventually start recording at my homeboy dell krib. To make a long story short after years of writing n recording I decided to turn it up a notch n press full throttle.

keep Working & pushing…the more work the more pay…

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

im currently working on a mixtape entitled the reawakening…I release a mixtape called the awakening at the end of 2013

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

depends on what the contract holds. I think the pros are the fact you can be easily promoted but the cons are the fact everything that seems great isnt always so good.
