How did you decide to become an artist?
Durdy Dizm aka Chris Richards Apalachicola, FL: During my first stint in prison, at the age of 15, I needed something to occupy my mind and a way to release some aggression. Plenty of positive feedback motivated me, I became obsessed writing 24/7. The guards would take my songs destroy them n throw me in the hole. So I would practice my lyrics over n over in my head, what I kept in my head was the only thing they couldn’t take away. After release I hooked up with a producer in the area, we recorded some tracks and started getting a buzz going. Of course I was still living that life which led me back to prison right before the release of my mixtape One more short bid and I decided to focus on my music. Been free for a few years now and have completely changed my priorities, finally. I’m not proud the road I chose, but it lends credibility to my lyrics. I see a lot of other artist fabricate their life story, writing bout what they seen on TV or what they heard bout other peoples lives. Not me I’ve traveled that road AND I’M STILL HERE TO TELL BOUT IT!
Don’t expect anything overnight, focus on what directly in front of you and keep grinding reguardless of up & downs
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Hell yeah that’s how I keep my sanity, or at least try to.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I’m somethan like dat michael phelps smokin weed n toatin metal
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hell yea. Pros I’m a ex con living in the slums I need $ for exposure. Cons they say you lose creative control, sign me so I can see
