Featured artist: Trel Mack - Trel Mack-Inspired to be Great
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Trel Mack.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Trel Mack: I always been a huge fan of music. I love listening to Tupac, Mase, Earth, Wind & Fire and so many artist. I began rapping around 13 or 14 years old but I didn’t started to pursue a career professionally until I started SKE Records in 2006 with my man Q The Question. Right now I have a hot project ”Inspired By Greatness” EP but this year I’ll release my EP ”The Night Before The Dawn”.
The best thing I can always say is be dedicated to your craft and show your hunger. Be the best you can be and constantly grind. I’m constantly looking for new ways to take my music to the next level and to stay in this game, great music will keep you here.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I have some shows coming one is at Voltage Lounge on June 17th and the next one is on July 6th at World Live Cafe, so I’m rehearsing like crazy. It feels great my career taking off so now I’m giving it all I got. The June 17th show will be by SKE Records and Home Grown.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
If ya biz ain’t right I promise niggas will not shine.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I just dropped a new record called ”Charizma” that is receiving great feedback online. My new EP ”The Night Before The Dawn” will drop this year and also our artist Petter Jones will drp his video ”Three” in the next week or so.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well we have been generating interest and just to shed light it just has to feel right and that pretty much all I can say, the big machine is great but it has to be right contract wise.
Any last words?
Yeah shout out to the whole SKE Records team. Q The Question, Noslen, DJ A-Yo!, Adry Sawza our new Spanish artist and Petter Jones.
