Mario Street "The Game Changer"

Featured artist: Mario Street - Mario Street ”The Game Changer”

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Mario Street.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Mario Street: Being an artist really I feel was decided before birth, the art runs through my veins as fuel to my life. My mother was a performer with the best of them, names like Diana Ross and more. So I was surrounded by musical creation before and after birth, I was raised to know its power and importance in the world. Now when I decided to become the artist I am today was after a long walk in the darkness (15 + years long). Gangs, Drugs, Jail, Prison, I have been shot twice (once in the head & once in the leg) dying on one occasion. The pain I endured throughout my lost journey I now use as Power through my talents, and I have been now for 6 years going & growing strong. My story is a triumphant one that I share in hopes to give hope to those in need.

In order to achieve the impossible I have to be able to see the unseen, my dreams.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do, and I feel that is where my fans learn how passionate I actually am through my performances.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

My pain is my power.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Currently I am working on my 3rd album, and I just released my 2nd mix-tape the 1st of Dec. 2013.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Would depend on the contract, what this major label was bringing to the table. I understand what I have and how powerful it will be and I won’t sell out to get there quicker. If a label seen me for what I was and morally let me stick to it, it could definitely be possible. It would be more like a partnership type of contract I believe.

Any last words?

Shout out to my whole I.M.P.A.C.T. Recordz team, Billy Dean, DJ Chirpmaster, Zachariah, and DJ Harv. I am a Chicago Native and I want to send a Big shout out to my City as well.

Where can we contact you?
