Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Jordan York.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Jordan York: I started off having fun and playing around with music. Then I realized I could start doing serious business with it, and I started taking it seriously. I make music because I enjoy it. I enjoy making people happy with my music, as well as all aspects of entertaining.
I’ve been told to never stop or slow down for anyone.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I’ve performed all over the east coast, including Pittsburgh, New York, Virginia, and Ohio.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Don’t hate the player hate the game…you can have the money just remember my name.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on my mixtape. Hopefully dropping it before summer and my album in due time. Yes, I’ve released two mixtapes and singles on Itunes.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign for the right amount of money but I’m not in it for the money if I could live comfortable and do what I love until the day I die I’d be fine with that. Nowadays I feel indie is the way to go!
