Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Jay Trott a.k.a. J-Fame.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Jay Trott a.k.a. J-Fame: Well I was born into a music family. My father was a vocalist for hit 70’s group Amnesty and my mother was a gospel artist. I picked up the pad in 96’ when I was 8 years old. I started recording on my mothers karaoke machine and now we are here. I knew then this was destiny and music would be apart of my life forever.

Love the music not the fame. -Joseph Trotter III

Best punchline you ever wrote?

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Right now I’m focused on my new mixtape ”Defanishun Uva Reel Nigga Vol.2” I just recently released ”Defanishun Uva Reel Nigga” you should check it out.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would depending on the money and theyre position in the industry. The pros come with success and having yourself heard on a broad scale. I would say the con’s is the politics of the game and how watered down hip hop has become.

Any last words?

First off lemme shout out to GOD who makes all things possible. I wanna give much love to my homies MONEY TEAM DASH, my team F.C.M. (FOREVER COMMITTED 2 MUSIK) I can’t forget my mans L.T. and GORILLA SQUAD… My producers and friends DONTAY BEATS and JOHNNY SAVAGE the best in the MIDWEST hands down…. And last but not least my big brother JOSIAH CHARLES the music mastermind.
