Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist BenZeLL.
How did you decide to become an artist?
BenZeLL: It was back in 2003… I had just moved to Spokane to get away from hustlin, and met this guy who was talkin bout this music studio he had… Only problem is, he hadno musical talent… He invited me to come thru n check it out.. That night, I made my first beat and recorded lyrics for the first time… Dropped out of school the next day n never looked back…
STAY HUMBLE.. No matter how good u are… Its like scoring a touchdown… Act like u been there before
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, mm performing live is the best feeling in the world
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Im so mufuckin hood got a bulletproof short bus in my yard… Just in case a mufucka wanna play hard, stay strapped like a helmet on a retard
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
My next EP is called ”Sinners Prophet” and should be released by the end on July 2014
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
That depends… It’d have to be a really good deal… I aint no simple dude… They aint gonna play me into gettin shelved… Id rather be independent… But u never know… If the right deal came along id be dumb not to consider it…
