Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Klutcher.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Klutcher: I have been surrounded by music my whole life. My biggest inspiration comes from my grandfather Henry Rankin. He had much success in the gospel genre reaching as high as #12 on the Northern charts (Flint, MI). I have made myself a personal goal to reach as high as #11 on the mainstream charts.
The only thing that comes to a sleeper… is a dream.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I opened for blues artist such as Steve Perry and as far as live performances, every person that I come in contact with about music deserves a live performance so right there on the spot I give it to them.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Im a living legend rep the 601 everywhere I go, graduated college and the streets, full of knowledge tho, on my Esquire pimp but i aint from Atlanta tho and ion do no skatin less the chevy sitt’n on 24’s…. ya diggery
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on finalizing my very first album. I named it Hisstory. I already have a mixed tape and it is available on www.datpiff.com. Go check that out btw!!!
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would but as business minded as I am they would have to come correct. I am very serious about my music and very passionate and dedicatet to it. Only if they are as serious about me as I am about my music would I sign but until then its always hustle season.
Any last words?
