The Voicebeat - Electric One Man Band

Featured artist: The Voicebeat - The Voicebeat – Electric One Man Band

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist The Voicebeat.

How did you decide to become an artist?

The Voicebeat: Never really became an artist, always was, in fact…I think we’re all born artists…the current system beats it out of us. My musical journey began at about the age of 6 when I started to use my mothers pots and pans for drums. Then she got me an acoustic guitar, which I turned over to use for a drum…Then around the age of 11, guitar caught my ear! I started to hang around with local musicians who were eager to teach me how to play…much love to them all. I’ve been fortunate to play music all my life with many wonderful people. The one man band came from my stint as a solo guitarist. I loved trying to play basslines while melodically adding guitar parts. Then, one night, I have a vision of myself adding drums with my feet…that was 10 years ago, and I since put most of my time trying to perfect the electric one man band.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I play live with this setup, during my show, you will witness myself playing all instruments at once while singing. Live music is awsome

Best punchline you ever wrote?

-Music is the language of the universe, or multi-verse, whichever you believe!!

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently trying to promote my current album, ”Electric One Man Band”. ..I released 4 video’s from the album

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign a record contract, if the right one came along…I’ve been in the music business for over 25 years, I understand the business..it can be fruitful, but I wanna get to the top without pushing anybody down..

Any last words?

I got to give a shout out to all the people who believed in me and what I was trying to do…I appreciate your support in helping me develop the one man band. I’ve played most of my music in Halifax Nova Scotia..so a big shout out goes out to all the bands I know…Blown Gasket Orchestra, Jimmy swift Band, Gloryhound, Matt Mays, etc etc…they are all wonderful players, go check em out :)
