Featured artist: Trauma Da Lone Individual aka L.I aka 631Banga - The Roots Of L.I
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Trauma Da Lone Individual aka L.I aka 631Banga.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Trauma Da Lone Individual aka L.I aka 631Banga: I have been writing since the age of 5. Short stories turned to poems when I was around 8. Then the poems turned to rap lyrics in 7th grade. From then on I was always freestyling and writing. It was ALWAYS REAL! I NEVER wrote about anything I myself have never witnessed been thru or done. I moved up to Syracuse in 07, and in 09 I came across some guys who were into recording. All the time I was back home before I moved up hea, I was never able to get in the studio n get serious until I moved up hea. They would ask when I would freestyle ”Why this guy aint signed?” Then it wasnt something I could really pursue, the environment wasnt right. Now, I do it and I do it FOR REAL! Since the move, I have been in negotiation w 2 labels. An Indy label out of Minneapolis and a Major label. Didnt work out, but now I am an artist on an up n coming Indy label based out of Syracuse. STORM FRONT RECORDZ INC. Now, slowly my goal is being put more into focus. I jut want people to hea my lyrics, I do it for the people. I have content that ANYBODY and EVERYBODY can relate to if they just open they ears and listen. One of my singles off my debut Album entitiled ”The Roots Of L.I” is very well recieved. Its called ”Its Not Fair”. I have nothing but good reviews on this track, it is a lot of peoples favorite Trauma song. I can send u some tracks to ya email if u would like. Just let me know. Thanks for your time and consideration.
The best advice I have recieved is ”Don’t EVER lose your hunger!” I was told this by numerous associates, fans, and close friends and family.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, I do live perfomances.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
My mind outside my head I see my thoughts Before I think em Im tryna find what was lost
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
At this time I am workin on finishing up a mixtape and then I can finish my album. I have a mixtape right now that I released last year but I did NOT have any funding for promotion, no distribution, and therfore did not sell much. I am re-releasing it in June, the next mixtape will be July, and the album in August.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
At this moment, I think I would rather be Independant
Any last words?
I just want to say Thank You to all my Close friends and family, and fans that are anxiously waiting for more material from me. Shout out to Long Island, L.I (631), without that place I wouldn’t be Trauma. To the people in the 315 that have welcomed me, I do this for US. Im an Empire State Representaive.
