Featured artist: Ray Wyse - Ray ?
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Ray Wyse.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Ray Wyse: A genuine artist at heart, I started drawing and painting as early as 5yrs old and writing poetry at age 12. Naturally being heavily inspired by art and music, I used them both to deal with the major issues I faced around my environment. I still only expressed myself in private, around close friends freestylin’ until it was clear to me I had drawn a pretty decent amount of attention. After my first release publicly called ”The Mercury Mixtape” I then began to take my music more seriously.
Keep writing the production will come, stay focused on your craft.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes; I have opened up for D-Lo and performed at many venues in Hollywood.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
If you still sleeping I’ll give you this Mona Lisa/ Two middle fingers we gone call that double featured.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on a new mixtape entitled ”2 RAW 4 TV,” my latest release ”The Great Western Forum EP” can be found on Pandora now.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. Pros: Major exposure -having the ability to spend your music across the world. Cons: Your message more than likely will be tainted and you lose the freedom behind your creativity.
Any last words?
Shout out to my bro Young Heff for the production.
