Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Yung Kidd.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Yung Kidd: I was very young…literally. My older sister used to write poems and let me come hear them. i had to be every bit of like 10 or 11. she was a lil older. anyways, so one day i got a demo cd of young jeezy and akons locked up track with 3 tracks on it. locked up clean….locked up explicit……and locked up instrumental. I heard the instrumental and immediately started writing. i really didnt know what to do but i had an idea from those poems and still to this day when im writing, im writing in the format my sister used to write her poems in…lol crazy but true.

My best advice given to me was Be annoying with your craft and teamwork makes the dream work. thats what i go by.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

i do play live shows. they arent big time enough to be concerts though. lol.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

TALK CROOKED WE WILL PUT YO ASS IN LINE, BOY IM ALL ABOUT A BUCK, YOU CAN DIE FOR 10 DIMES.
- Yung Kidd

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I have a mixtape coming out called WABU coming out. WABU is simply an acronym for Worry ABout U.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

i WOULD SIGN A CONTRACT WITH A MOJOR LABEL BUT WITH CERTAIN CONDITIONS. THE PROS ARE THAT I HAVE A BETTER CHANCE AT BEING A SUPERSTAR QUICKER WITH A MAJOR LABEL. THE CONS HOWEVER IS YOUR SOUL. YOUR SOUL AND YOUR ROYALTIES. FROM WHAT I KNOW MOST THE MONEY YOU MAKE GOES TO THE LABEL AS IF THEY BUSTED THEIR ASS WRITING SONGS, MAKING BEATS, AND DOING SHOWS. BUT HEY. WHAT CAN YOU DO WHEN YOUR NAME’S ON THAT PAPER THEY PRINTED OUT.

Any last words?

I WOULD LIKE TO SHOUTOUT LURKSQUAD, LURKONTHEBEAT.COM, BTG, EBG, AND OX THE KING. GEORGIA STAND UP.

Where can we contact you?

Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
