Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist RITHIM.
How did you decide to become an artist?
RITHIM: When I was younger me and my homie started recording on his Mac in his basement. I got super serious about it, got a job, and bought my own microphone, pop filter, mic stand, shock filter, software, etc. That’s when I decided that this is what I was going to do for a career, that’s when I realized that above all else, music is my passion.
Never stop pushing your shit. No matter what you represent your music and push it so everyone knows your name
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I do! I’m actually opening up for Sir Mix A Lot April 16th At Cervantes
Best punchline you ever wrote?
now they given up the ball, I’m all about possession, man they feel i’m kinda tight and start to beg for decompression
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
My LP is currently in the works ;) Ive released a few singles recently though that I think are bumpin
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would just depend on where I was at and what the contract entitled. I don’t like the way a lot of labels control their artists so it would have to be the right label and I would just have to see ya know?? hahah but i want to be UNDERGROUND AS SHIT
Any last words?
Shoutout to my mom who raised me and her husband Kevin, shoutout to KMG studios for giving me the opportunity to learn and have a quality spot to record, shoutout to Squizzy Gang doin their thing, and the D.O.P.E.
