Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Barrage aka Mr.Rollsomethin.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Barrage aka Mr.Rollsomethin: I became an artist in 97 after some street beef and in like 15 min we had our first song. I thought wow this is what i wanna do. I was already beatboxing n making a name for myself that way. Next thing i know we got 100 songs n getting calls from all the labels we signed with an independent Jetspeed Records out of California worst move ever but it made me wanna learn the business. So i went to Pyramid Recording School in Hazlet nj. Learned to engineer on top of my production n lyrical skills plus to me the most importsnt the business side. I finished started Rollsomethin Records n ran Boom Studios in East Orange Nj for 5 years.

it was from easy mo bee when he was producing Big album. we were at Sugar Hill Studios n he said dont let this change you cause it got the potential to make you an animal. Keep it Real at all times.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

yes i play live. i performed 8times since august.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just dropped the A.B.S mixtape in nov. before that in oct i released fb on fire vol 1. next up is my man Bump Knight mixtape due out in jan.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

i would sign a distribution deal but as a artsit ill stay independent on my own.

Any last words?

I like to shoutout all my Rollsomethin fam. All my peoples in nj that been riding wit us and all the new love too. Plainfield to Somerville to Easton to NYC. I keeps it moving.
