Featured artist: Quikkdraw - Quikkdraw Next To Blow From Baton Rouge?
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Quikkdraw.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Quikkdraw: To be honest… it started when I was about 9… I traveled to different talent shows with my godmom. She was a dancer and was very prominent during this age of hip-hop. The five elements were still strong then… I was always into writing, I guess with my strong sense of personality, it came pretty natural!
FUCK a handout…. skrait up! that came from the big homie Savage! shouts to solo mafia
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Concerts and live performanes are my bread and butter! I love performing! The whole artistry aspect of expression that comes from it. Its like im in my world when im on stage. it feels as if it’s in the fourth quarter, 3 seconds are left and the ball is in my hand. when the show’s over… SWISH! We win! Blood and Sweat is victorious once again!
Best punchline you ever wrote?
”ni&&@$ know we poppin deez heaterz/ if we got beef like a taco den they turn to chicken like a fajita!”
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on a mixtape named, ”Put Another Beat On!…” which is a follow up to ”Put A Beat on…” which is a previously released mixtape on datpiff.com. im also wrapping up a collaboration with Boss of ”Bossman Productions” entittled ” F.O.E.s” (Family Over Everything still). I am also very excited about the soon to be hit single, H.U.S.T.L A., which is also coming soon.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Honestly, i’d love to stay independent, but in the long run maybe I’d sign major. its all a gamble and depends on your hustle if you ask me!… But hey… who am i?!
Any last words?
Blood and Sweat Hustle Fam! BATON ROUGE TILL DA DEATH! But I also have strong ties in Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. I would like to shout out The Most Hi… The Great I Am… My whole fam, and any and everybody supporting B.S.H.F. It’s all love!
