Featured artist: Yahlunda - South Florida Female Rapper bringing heat to the game!
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Yahlunda.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Yahlunda: I love music. I breathe it! It's a form of expression for me. I make love to it vocally like it's my boyfriend. I used to hang with the guys and they would make beats and write so I'd go to the studio as a hobby. I fell in love with it! I'm married to it now! We will never get a divorce.
It is important to stay consistent and FOCUS! There are enough people against you so it's important to know yourself, be yourself, love yourself and just Give It To Them!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I do not have any shows scheduled at this time. I am recording now.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Do you wanna feel the HEAT like you walking in the SUN?
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Yes, I was in a group before. I am currently a solo artist. I am working on more of a street sound. I like to do music that people can feel. My vocals are strong and commanding but I do have a sweet spot! I just consider myself a "tell it like it is" type of chick. I say what I mean, and I mean what I say!
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. A label can provide you with more opportunities and connections such as Radio, Tv, and Press. Being independent you have more things business wise that you have to focus on to make your career successful . Although, everyone must do what feels right for themselves. Personally, I'd rather be more focused on making good music and perfecting my performance.
Any last words?
Kodak Black is an upcoming artist. He is definitely doing his thing right now. Shoutout to Rick Ross, MMG Family. DJ Khaled has the best memes. Ace Hood, Plies. Trina (Diamond Princess) and last but not least DJ Nasty 305, DJ Nailz (Dem Boyz – 99 Jamz).
Where can we contact you?
Yahlunda: @yahlunda
Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
