Featured artist: Top City Yungin - Yungin On a Mission
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Top City Yungin.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Top City Yungin: I grew up in a low budget neighborhood out of Harrisburg, Pa and I went through many adversities growing up in the city and still am. I grew up listening to the real rappers such as Jay Z, Jadakiss, Lil Boosie, Big Boi, and Yo Gotti, who speaks on the ”real”. New rappers these days are liars in their lyrics. I just feel that I can be the special artist to really bring that type of music back to the game. I just put my life into my rhymes and try to catch my listenet’s heart because everything I speak is real.
You will fail at some time on your mission to success, but don’t get down; it should be motivation.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I did I only ever did a few shows at local places, but nothing major yet.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
”You can go any day where I’m from, so I’ll to anything to keep a smile on ma mom”
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am working on my mixtape that should be dropping on July 4th.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, I would sign a contract with a major contract, but I would really look over the contract. I can’t just sign it because of the name of the company. The pros of signing is the money and exposure. I am cool with the fame, but I rather be rich because fame isn’t going to pay the bills or feed my family. The only con I see is signing with the wrong company. Some companies will scheme you for your money and I’m with that. Me and my label should have a great relationship and should be happy with our income.
Any last words?
I want to shout out Harrisburg, PA because I was born and raised there. Also shout out my neighborhood called the Hilltop and some of the artist on the come up also from the Hilltop: LoudLifeLeon, J Bellz, T1, and Brah Chrisler. Shout out my family also for their support and my fans who were there from day one.
