The next to rise!

Featured artist: UDK - The next to rise!

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist UDK.

How did you decide to become an artist?

UDK: I started at about 6 years old just writing deep poetry of what i saw happening around me. Living in Baton Rouge you witness a lot during that time ive kinda switched to writing lyrics and kept practicing till i was 12, thats when i recorded my first song. I still felt i wasnt good enough my lyrics were there but i still needed practice. About the time i hit 16 i took every emotion i had in my and forced it out onto paper thats when i knew i could really make it. Not only that but now i songwrite for other genres, mix and master, produce, and still developing more skills as we speak.

Listen to your heart and let them feel how u felt

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Im currently working on my next mixtape " No Love" and a Lp Album " Broken Mirror" both tell a story and both will have some pretty deep and interesting peices. I have recently release a mixtape called "One Step Closer" a month ago just to let people feel a taste of my flow.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes i would , you would have the chance to see yourself in the light, push out what youve been making everywhere in the world , travel, and make a paycheck, but the con is you cant just rap in the music industry but thats not a problem for me
