How did you decide to become an artist?
Courtney P aka KINGCOBU: Music has been my Passion for many years. But has never paided the bills for me I've been in the streets all my life. Wishing and Hoping for a way out. Freestyles have always ran threw my head just never cared about them until I day my best friend R.I.P. BIFF decided to rap so we make our first song. I can't remember nothing about I just remember we were talking about how sprung our friend Gunzo was on this chick at the time so we make a song about it. Some kind of way he found out about the song and he hated us for it and until this he still talks about we he get drunk. I listened to myself and I was good. The artist was born but I still don't have a name. Later on and life my Cuzz Don't Cry @ Tank Ladd made me take myself serious so The KINGCOBU was born. My first studio track was produced by my other Cuzz name Physikal. My first song was called 24/7. I been going Hard ever sense.
I remember back in the day talking to R Kelly threw MySpace and i told him to check some of my music out. He did and he replied to me saying he started in the basement of his girlfriend mommy house. He said that's where he wrote most of his classic you hear right now til these day. He told me to just keep pushing and be your own self speak loud mean what you say and say what you mean when you say what you say. Say it loud. Never hold nothing back. Most important be Original.
