Featured artist: Cass Hadley - Trippy kid from Central Jersey looking to make waves in Hip-Hop music scene
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Cass Hadley.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Cass Hadley: I have had a passion for all forms of art since i had the capability to write. I love to write songs, stories, poems, whatever i can get my mind to wrap around. Then my mom introduced me to Eminem when i was 6 and hip-hop became this addiction and it was kind of taboo because no one else my age listened to hip-hop in my school at the time, especially Eminem, which made me feel like a rebel. But as i grew up it slowly just turned into this thing i just had to do. If i don’t write songs regularly, i feel like i might explode.
Art is indefinite, make your own idea of it and be proud of it.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
No, i have not yet performed live. BUT i am incredibly interested in the subject and am looking to do a few shows ASAP.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on 3 projects that have yet to be named all of which follow completely different sounds, styles and concepts. In the past 9 months i have released 3 mixtapes on Datpiff ”Beyond Infinity”, ”Foxiavelli”.and my most recent and personal project ”Down 2 Earth”. As well as a plethora of loose tracks on my soundcloud.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the contract was legit and it was a beneficial decision. I feel like there’s a real thin line between when it’s too early and too late to sign with a major label. If you sign before you’ve even got an established identity in the scene then you’re going to end up being pushed around or benched. But if you don’t start seeing opportunities for a deal until you’ve already established a career path and found profitability in yourself then there is no need to sign. Plenty of artists are doing there thing on that independent wave and to be honest it looks like the most stable option if you’re willing to put forth the effort.
Any last words?
Shouts out to any of my friends who sat there and listened to me spout off lyrics for hours on end while i obsessed over every little detail and smoked like a chimney. Shouts out to ANYONE who’s heard my music and/or plans to make that life saving decision. I’m representing my generation. I’m representing kids raised by a confused society with a million bad options in front of them. Too smart for the bullshit, not informed enough to know what to do with it. We have questions and concerns and ideas. I’m here to voice this.
