Featured artist: Sir Louis Green - King Of My Dreams By Sir Louis Green
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Sir Louis Green.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Sir Louis Green: It was a series of unforeseen events coming together to build my future. I started out writing poetry in high school to charm the ladies and after my English teacher in college read my work she suggested I turn it into a musical format. Later on that year a classmate had sold me a laptop which had pro tools on it so I took this as a sign and played around with it to learn the software. Couple of friends and I ended up making a song in the basement of my house called ”Free Me”. This, ladies and gentlemen, was the start of my music career.
Be original in everything you do. This gave me the motivation to create my own lane and set my own goals to achieve.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I have performed at different open mics, and showcases.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Wake up to bake up with my Eyes on the prize as I rise grind and shine
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
My current Album King Of My Dreams is available on Itunes
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I am independent artist who is a businessman so anything I would sign would be for the purpose of achieving more business for my brand. The best part about having a contract is that you get to see, read and speak to a lawyer about it prior to signing it.
Any last words?
Shoutout to the DMV underground scene. I have learned a lot through my relationships with other artists in the business.
