Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Jay OH.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Jay OH: I actually started throwing Hip Hop events before I started performing, but I’ve always kept a journal during that time just in case something came to mind I wanted to write down. One birthday past many moons ago I was with my artists and they said, ”Get down on the track yo!” Thats how it started
The best advice I recieved would be to be nice to those you do not know in the industry; because you never know when you will need to call on that individual for something you need!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I play live, solo, in a group and pretty much any form that allows me on stage.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
CALL MY LIVING ROOM THE OCEAN CUZ EVERYWHERE I SEAWEED
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on a new project with Les Deux Pigeons that should drop this summer!
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
NOPE NEVER. POLITICS, POLITICS AND MORE RED TAPE. I’M STRAIGHT
