Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Point Blanc.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Point Blanc: I was always into rap music, I had always found it interesting, ever since the age of around 7. When I was 9 I would be hustling and free styling on the streets, trying to get myself street credit. Didn’t work out so well. I started taking it more serious when I was 10, I behan to write songs and recite them. When I was 14, my parents bought me a microphone and then I started recording songs. I love doing it, and always have.
Always speak the truth, keep practicing, keep learning, and you will rise and grow.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
No, i don’t, however, once I reach 5000 likes on Facebook, I have an opportunity to have one in Qatar, Doha.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I haven’t focused so much on punch lines, but this one is of an unreleased diss track. ”your raps are like a fucking curve nigga, they're gayer than that nigga Frank Ocean, Wanna smoothen your raps? here take my fucking lotion”
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I have released 2 tracks and 1 freestyle. The first track wasn’t so great, I was in the making. The freestyle was decent, and the next song, which was a collaboration, was much better. I am not to judge myself. Currently i’m working on my mixtape called ”Rise and Growth”, with a track list of 14 songs, unconfirmed.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would, some of the pros would be fame, I always wanted that, also that I can be a role model to people, and speak out what’s on my mind without hesitation or doubt. Some cons are that i will lose all my freedom, which i would dislike, a lot.
Any last words?
Yes, I would like to shoutout to my family, which is the biggest and most major shoutout. Also I have some special shoutout’s to Danielle, Leroy, Nadim, Awab, Ali, Ahmed, and Hakimi, which have helped me with a lot, and supported me from day 1. Another massive shoutout to all my fans and supporters. Also a shoutout to my home town: Poortugaal, which will forever and always be my home, and i’ll be reppin’ them until i die.
