Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist 5moke.
How did you decide to become an artist?
5moke: It is in my blood. It is all I know. I have been freestyling since I was 13 and never looked back.
Never let anyone stop you from doing what you love
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I perform live and try to as often as possible.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
”All my brothers quick to fight and all my brothers bust thier strap, puttin 20 niggas ina box like a pack of jacks”
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on my mixtape entitled ’Where there is 5moke there is fire’ and I have released previous mixtapes and have been featured on numerous mixtapes.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would, but there would stipulations to the deal. I’m a package deal. If I get signed so do my brothers, it’s all of us or none of us #LoyaltyIsKey! The main pro would be making money off of my dream and finally fulfilling my destiny. There would be other pros like working with a few of my favorite artists. The cons would be the hoop jumping games, conforming to mainstream hip-hop, and having to do as you’re told by the A&R’s.
