A Different Type Of Artist

Featured artist: Neighborhood Paperboy - A Different Type Of Artist

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Neighborhood Paperboy.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Neighborhood Paperboy: Well..It was my passion for both music and writing along with the dedication of my family and friends, who provided me with constant support and inspiration that influenced me into becoming an artist.

Music in my household was a ritual in the form of entertainment. I grew up listening to various genre of music, such as R&B, Neo-Soul, jazz, Funk and Hip-Hop. I was inspired by some of the greatest artists of our time, the Stylistics, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, George Clinton, James Brown, Tupac, Mos Def, Wu-Tang, Nas and Jay-Z.

From an early age I have always had the inclination to write. Writing poetry was a form of expression that allowed me to translate my ideas and feelings. Writing lyrics about life’s realities soon followed. f

I was told by my oldest brother to stay true to myself and to the craft.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I enjoy playing live, the stage is my playground! I have had the opportunity of playing at several of the local clubs. I haven’t given any concerts yet, however, I look forward to doing so in the near future.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

”Show some Africans fire but they thought it was witch craft, so they condemn me with stone and burn me with my own wrath”

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Yes. I’m currently working on my mixtape ”PEACE OF MIND” that should be coming out real soon.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes i would sign recording contract to a major label, i think the pros to sighing to a major label is reach a larger mass of people on a larger scale. The cons are not being able to release the music you want when you want.

Any last words?

No doubt. To all my fans, I want ya’ll to know that I appreciate ya’ll and thank ya’ll for all of your support and love! Big shout to Sin$ Of Life Entertainment, Mr. Lobos and my mentor Diplean of Lyrical Trilogy

Where can we contact you?
